Workshop: One-Day Relief Printing Intensive in Nature

Sunday, June 20, 2021

Quill Nook Farm

Cost: $50/adult, $25 for kids ages 9 and up

Daniel Chiacco of First Proof Press in Brattleboro brings his printmaking equipment out to Quill Nook Farm for a daylong intensive! Students will be guided through the carving and inking process, press operation and clean up. Weather allowing, we will work outside on the deck with the opportunity to be inspired directly by nature. Each participant will leave with a set of unique hand printed lino cuts or stamps.

Class size will be limited to 8.

 

Youth Day Camp: Art and Play in Nature

Mon.-Fri. August 16–20
9 a.m. – 2 p.m. daily
Quill Nook Farm
Ages: 5–13

Cost: $140/child, plus $30 art supply fee

Quill Nook Farm’s day camp is a fun-forward opportunity for your kids to play with art in nature over the course of a week. Outdoor play, games, and nature lessons will be woven in. Every kid’s inherent creativity will be drawn upon in activities such as doodling, free sketching, land art, photo tracing, and block printing. Our teacher is known as much for her fun and engaging approach to kids as she is for her enthusiasm for self-expression.

Sample daily schedule:

9:00–9:30 a.m.: Arrive, free doodling time
9:30–10 a.m.: Outside time: river play, hike, games
10–11 a.m.: Art in nature/Snack
11–12 a.m.: Games
12–12:45 p.m.: Lunch with goat friends
12:45–1:30 p.m.: Finish art project/Free doodling time
1:30–2 p.m.: Play outside
2 p.m.: Pickup

We will follow strict COVID protocols according to CDC and State guidelines, most of all, being outside as much as possible. Please inquire for details.
